Nashville has seen a lot of development over the years, especially on Music Row, the premier cultural arts and music scene in the city. Situated in the heart of the neighborhood, Virgin will open the doors to its 4th hotel in the nation this summer and once again has asked Bell Uniform Design to be a part of the team.
Virgin Hotels Nashville is a boutique hotel with 262 guest rooms, rooftop pool and lounge and indoor and outdoor meeting/event space. It will also feature Virgin’s signature brands, Commons Club and Funny Library. Virgin enlisted Hannah Crowell of Crowell and Company Interiors to design a speakeasy, which appropriately also serves as a live music venue. The guests should expect a modern oasis, with personalized touches and southern hospitality throughout their stay.
This particular uniform program leaned heavily into things that felt inherently Nashville. The Nashville fashion scene can be described as trendy, but casual which is exactly what guests will see in the uniforms. Graphic tees, statement jewelry, cool accessories, like bolo ties and belt bags, and a mixture of unique patterns are incorporated into every outlet in the hotel.
The speakeasy has more of a vintage feel and pays homage to Nashville’s rich history. Hostesses will wear gold sequin shift dresses and knee-high boots, while the hosts and bartenders sport custom vests with patches that are inspired by Nashville’s famous nudie suits.
Each of the uniforms in the hotel has pieces that one might see a local wearing on the streets of Nashville. Locals and tourists, be sure to check out “Music City’s” hottest new destination when it opens next month.
