In the heart of San Francisco’s prestigious Nob Hill, the historic Huntington Hotel, a landmark since 1924, has undergone a spectacular transformation. Acquired by Flynn Properties and Highgate, the iconic property reopened in spring 2026 following an extensive renovation. Internationally renowned designer Ken Fulk reimagined the interiors, honoring the building’s Georgian roots while infusing it with a warm, residential feel reminiscent of a palatial Nob Hill apartment. The restored landmark now boasts 71 elegantly appointed rooms, 72 luxurious suites, including a nearly 1,500-square-foot penthouse with sweeping bay views, and the exquisite Nob Hill Spa—a 9,000-square-foot sanctuary spanning three levels with an indoor pool, treatment rooms, fitness center, and serene terraces overlooking the city.

Bell Uniform Design was honored to be awarded the full uniform contract for the entire property, including front-of-house, back-of-house, spa, and management teams. "From the moment we stepped into the project, our goal was clear: create wardrobes that seamlessly complement the hotel’s classic sophistication and timeless charm. I wanted to maintain the classic look and feel of the property when it came to the uniform design,” said Barbara Bell, CEO and Founder of Bell Uniform Design. We focused on refined silhouettes, premium fabrics, and subtle details that echo the hotel’s heritage while ensuring comfort and functionality for the team. According to everyone involved from the ownership and design team to the staff, we nailed it. I am once again very proud of my talented team and the collaborative spirit that brought this vision to life. At Bell Uniform Design, we specialize in custom uniform programs that tell a story. For The Huntington, that meant blending enduring elegance with modern practicality: tailored fits that move with the wearer, durable materials built for long shifts, and aesthetic touches that feel like an extension of Ken Fulk’s thoughtful interiors. The result is a cohesive look that makes every team member feel confident, professional, and proud to represent one of San Francisco’s most beloved icons. This project joins our portfolio of high-profile hospitality collaborations, where we craft wardrobes that elevate guest experiences and empower staff. Whether it’s a grand historic reopening or a contemporary luxury launch, we deliver uniforms that don’t just meet expectations—they exceed them. We’re thrilled to have played a part in The Huntington Hotel’s new chapter.
